NEW YORK (Reuters) - Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian's Tracinda Corp will pay $684 million to acquire a 35 percent stake in Delta Petroleum Corp , the independent oil and gas company said on Monday.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Constellation Energy said Friday it'll pay an undisclosed sum to buy 545 megawatts of electric power to be produced between 2011 and 2017 at a new combined cycle natural gas plant to be built in York County, Pa. Constellation Energy will supply natural gas to the facility and provide payments over the delivery term to acquire the output of the facility. The Delta Power Plant is to be built in Peach Bottom Township, Pa., near Maryland.

SHENZHEN International Holdings Ltd, an investment company controlled by China's government, surged after it agreed to buy a toll road and a stake in Shenzhen Expressway Co for 4.33 billion yuan (US$576 million). Shenzhen International's stock jumped as much as 14 percent to HK$1.35 (17 US cents) in Hong Kong, heading for the biggest gain in five months. The shares, trading at HK$1.27 as of 10:34am, have almost tripled this year. Traffic has surged in Shenzhen, near Hong Kong, as manufacturing increased in south China's Pearl River Delta region amid the country's economic boom. China's road traffic has been boosted by vehicle sales, which rose 25 percent in China last year as the country surpassed Japan as the world's second-biggest automotive market behind the United States.
